A 1926 photograph by Edward Steichen (Fr., 1879-1973), titled Brancusi’s Endless Column (in Steichen’s garden at Voulagis, France) sold for $20,000 at a Photographs Auction held June 14^th by Doyle in New York City. Also, Consuelo Kanaga’s (Am., 1894-1978) She is the Tree of Life to them, Florida (1950) realized $17,500; Hiroshi Sugimoto’s (Jap., b. 1948) U.A. Playhouse, Great Neck, New York (1978) made $13,750; and a 1962 photo by Ansel Adams hit $12,500. Prices include the buyer’s premium.
