Panamint basket, $2,835, Michaan’s

A Native American Panamint basket featuring a conical bowl form and single-color geometric arrow motif sold for $2,835 at a Gallery Auction held August 16th by Michaan’s Auctions in Alameda, CA. Also, a 3.82-carat oval-cut diamond ring, the oval-cut stone set in a Tiffany & Co. platinum solitaire mounting, fetched $21,420; a group of three small Chinese carved jade plaques table screens went for $9,450; and two Tom Killion woodcut prints on paper made $3,150.
