One case (12 bottles) of vintage 1982 Chateau Lafite-Rothschild wine sold for $42,350 in an Internet-only Exclusive Wine Auction held August 6-August 20 by Christie’s in New York City. Also, six bottles of Petrus, vintage 2000, coasted to $26,620; one dozen bottles of vintage 1982 Chateau Latour commanded $21,780; 12 bottles of vintage 2000 Chateau Mouton-Rothschild topped out at $16,940; and a dozen bottles of vintage 1996 vintage 1996 Chateau Lafite-Rothschild changed hands for $14,520. Prices include a 25 percent buyer’s premium.
